Maybe I've been here too many times but the main indoor shopping street you first encounter seems pretty ordinary. What the poster above didn't mention is that you have to walk the length of this shopping street to reach Nakano Broadway, which is primarily a collection of manga and anime shops owned by a company called Mandarake (Mandrake the magician Japanified, get it?).

Also in Nakano Broadway are some small galleries owned by Takashi Murakami, a world famous artist.
