And at multiple properies, rooms are not ready until two or three hours (or more) past check-in. The Hilton LAX is one such property. They deny late check-out saying they don't have enough housekeepers, and that does seem to be true since they can't turn the rooms in time. But it seems obvious that if they have fewer housekeepers, it will take longer for a housekeepers to start on a room. So why not let the guest in that room stay a bit longer, if housekeeping can't get to it for hours anyway?
