So, I don't want to disappoint/irritate any of the RC Kyoto fans in here... but why does this hotel deserve to be so expensive to stay at?

I stayed this past December for about a week in an OWV at the RC Maldives, and I really thought that whole experience was basically worth it.

But then I look at this RC Kyoto and I'm not seeing a wonderful location, I'm not seeing wonderful rooms or a wonderful view. So why USD $2000+ per weeknight?

Please don't misunderstand me, I'm not trying to pooh-pooh with any ill will. It boils down to me just needing to be educated by some of you here...
