(12/24/22) Datapoint … UA Club biz card, 12.5 months old, $450 AF was the only charge billed on statement three weeks ago, due date yesterday, 99.9% likely to be closed, delaying closure as long as possible because I have United flights this week, …
I was told that I had 41 days (not 30, I asked the supervisor to confirm 41 days two different times) to close the account with full refund of the annual fee.

Updated Datapoint Update: The 41 and 90 day information was so surprising and unexpected that I called again about 12 hours later to confirm with a different agent. Agent answered “I’m XXXX with the Chase Executive team”. I said I dialed Chase biz card customer service, agent said “we’re back-up for them”.

I said with over 40 years as a Chase credit card customer, I was so surprised with the 90 days that I wanted to confirm that information. Agent said “that’s correct, last night you actually spoke with a specialist who told you more information than he/she should have.” I thanked the agent for the holiday gift and ended the call.

Still not sure how long I’ll test it, I’ll report here when I do close the account.

Datapoint, Chase biz account closure 89 days after AF posting with full AF refund: Chase UA Club Biz card: instant approval mid-November 2021, first statement date mid-December 2021, statement date changed upon my request to 2nd, minimal use after SUB, AF billed December 1st 2022, paid on December 23rd, multiple calls regarding cancellation, each time was told can cancel up to 90 days with full refund of AF, called yesterday (from Denver UA Club of course, it’s ski season ), cancelled, agent said “yes, you have up to 90 days, today is day 89, the refund will appear in 2-3 days, you can request a check or transfer to a different Chase bank or biz credit card account”, online account indicating “closed” today. (No news is good news, I’ll edit if refund does NOT post as expected.)

(UA website and app this morning state “UA Club membership subscription Expiration Thu, Feb 29, 2024”, not sure if and when that would change … because instant approval for UA Club Infinite (personal) card an hour ago.)

~80K UA miles and 15.5 months of UA Club access for $450 and a few minutes of my time, thank you Chase and UA .
