Sorry for such a newbie question, but independent of the companion cert, what's the latest rules on e-Credit expirations? For the primary ticket, is the January 2024 date a hard date, or are you able to keep booking new flights hypothetically and pushing it out indefinitely?
Maybe just let me explain my goals, we just found out my wife is pregnant (first kid) and we won't be flying after July. I have RUC's and planned to use them this fall which obviously isn't happening. So since this spring is kind of a "last call" for travel without kids, we wanted to replace our "simple" Florida trip in April with something more fun and get more value out of the RUC.
My "fun" Mexico isn't companion cert eligible, so I figure that leaves me with two options:
1) Move the Florida companion flight to something ???? domestic before the July pregnancy flying cut off. Seems this would be possible but may require an agent to do
2) (My original question) - If my loop hole with the flight time change allows me to cheat on the cert expire rules; I wanted to know if could move the flights to say July, then in July be able to move it again to April 2024 (getting ahead of myself on leaving a baby with my parents, so asking for hypothetical purposes only)
Got a great solution from the Platinum line
They moved my April Florida flight with the companion ticket to May
I booked a new reservation to Los Cabos Mexico for, I can't believe it, 24,500 miles per ticket round trip (good times too)
They applied my RUC to the Los Cabos flight - Instantly cleared and re-ticketed.
