Yesterday around 12:30 the DEN line filled the entire upper level entryway, I was in line about 10 minutes. While in line I saw one person randomly come up and walk into the lounge and get intercepted by a host who turned them around explaining it was a members only lounge. Another couple who wanted to use it on arrival who were turned away. A third couple where one was a member and wanted to have a guest and was advised the guest would be $50 ... OR... and then a pitch to add an AU by contacting Amex and waiting 15 minutes for the new card to be approved. That then turned into a long discussion of the benefits of the card, blah blah blah. All this while people stood in line waiting to enter. Not a fan of this - charge for a guest and move on, unless there is no queue.
