Even though it's about a mile from the Hollywood Bowl, I would advise not walking (under the 101 freeway and thru lots of homeless camps), so take a quick Uber/Lyft ride. As mentioned by others, lots of great and safe stuff to walk to from the hotel: Pantages Theater, the new Amoeba Records store, Hollywood & Vine, etc.
