Well, the attractive award pricing here is coming to an end ... jumping from Cat C to Cat F at the end of the month, meaning ~doubling in points required.

It's still a decent nominal value relative to the cash rates, at least on higher-priced dates, but IMO the cash rates here are crazy and far more than I would value the stay at. Given my example in the review of comparing the Andaz Mayakoba to this, personally I would go with the Andaz under the new pricing (appears the Andaz isn't changing categories). YMMV.

The non-Impression side of the property is also jumping from Cat C to Cat E, meaning a ~10K points difference in price between the two. I think I would probably say that's still worth it ... you get access to quite a bit more with SIM and we spent a lot of time on the SIM side, and especially the shared pools were often busy and hard to find good seats at while you could always have your choice of seating at the SIM pools.
