Should I buy an Avios subscription?

I am not particularly Avios rich, nor is my other half. We're sitting on just over 100k Avios between the two of us. We have redeemed heavily in the last 12 months of more: 2 long-haul flights in CW to the state with companion vouchers and several CE flights, some with upgrade vouchers. We have a couple of upgrade vouchers left, we're probably going to end up with another companion voucher soon.

We're waiting on more than 225,000 Avios combined from Barclays and these days we tend to earn avios only from credit card spending and the Avios estore.

I am going to lose my Gold status in June. As much as I'd like to gain it again, it seems unlikely. I just don't get enough leave to justify enough TP earning long haul trips anymore.

I value Avios at more than 1p. I haven't done any calculations on the exact value of my redemptions, but I am pretty confident it's more than that.

With all this in mind, I am considering an Adventurer Avios subscription, which will get me 200,000 Avios over a year for 0.8945p per Avios. I kind of seeing as buying flight credits for flexible flights.

Would you do it?
