My understanding is if I cancel; ticket 1 gets an e-Credit, and the Cert is lost. - Is this correct?
The original cert had an expiration date of August 2023, and the "Flight Receipt" says the paid value expires January 2024.
I understand this was covered heavily on this thread before to the 1/31 date for many certs to expire, but in my situation am I limited to flights before August 2023 or is it the January 2024 date on the receipt?

Yes, by terms they are not re-issued if you cancel and only primary ticket still retains value as a credit. You can make changes to itin and just pay fare differences, but all travel must be complete by expiration date of cert.
