Houstonion is really past its prime
I went to have a peek at Doubletree Medical Centre next door : an older hotel but a bit dreary in decor

I've just come back from a week's stay also,
will post a detailed review here soon .....
it started a bit wobbly (Dutch GM seemed to be on holiday ... hah or he evaded my inquest analysis ....)
but everything was redeemed after the 2nd day....

did you manage by chance to bump into Rusty at his usual reserved spot at -the naturalist- lobby bar during happy hour ?
I'm considered furniture at IC AMS but he takes honors for being a stable presence day after day.
(even more then the German lady walking her dog and stopping by daily for a night cap at EX-Crowne Plaza Den Haag Scheveningen -now a Leonardo hotel)
