But for the upcoming year, you can move your payment due date up a few days so that the closing date is at or near month end. You can do this on the website, through the mobile app, or by calling Citi. Let’s say you move your payment due date to the 24th of each month. For just this upcoming 2023 qualifying year, you will effectively have about 13 months of spending count—all of this February through and including all or most of next February. If it’s any consolation, my payment due date was Feb 27 and my statement closing date March 1.
