Differential Upgrade Pricing ??

I’m not sure if this is a regular occurrence or whether there is a glitch in the system but my partner and I are both booked on the same flight from SYD to HNL but on separate PNRs and we are both looking to do a cash bid for an upgrade from Y to J.

When I bring up my booking the minimum bid is set at AU$960 yet when my partner brings up his booking the minimum bid is set at AU$780. We’ve both checked back a couple of times and minimum bid hasn’t changed for either of us and I was wondering if anyone out there can explain the reason for this discrepancy?

Curiously, I have the higher FF status (Platinum) whereas my partner is only Gold yet my minimum bid is set higher than his and I’m struggling to come up with a reason as to why that might be.

Any insights or suggestions are welcomed.
