How do I finish ticketing an award redemption change?
I just called the service center to change an award redemption from LAX-HKG to SFO-HKG. After 2 hours on hold, the agent said she reserved the seat on the SFO-HKG flight, but I'll have to wait for an email to pay the $50 change fee to reissue the ticket. Also, apparently the miles from the LAX-HKG ticket will take a few days to refund.
So do I have to wait for the LAX-HKG miles to be refunded before I can ticket the SFO-HKG redemption that's currently on hold?
How long will the LAX-HKG miles refund take, and how long will the system hold SFO-HKG for me? On the Manage Booking status page, it currently says:To secure your booking, please issue ticket before --- (Hong Kong time).
