Typically United will check you in for the SN segments and assign seats. I haven't use SN app, but my typical experience with LH group is it will send you back to UA as that is the first segment.
Do they also provide working BPs in the United app, or will I need to use the SN app to access SN BPs? I get that the SN app will likely initially not do the check-in as the first flight is on UA.
