The sea between Takamatsu and Uno is perhaps one of the most interesting parts to look at as there are a lot of islands there.

Perhaps one could tailor their own bespoke mini cruise by combining ferry crossings from the Shikoku Kisen Ferry company and adding them to the Kobe - Takamatsu ferry suggested by AlwaysAisle

Each one way journey is between 300¥ and 630¥

Ending up at Uno would put you back onto the main Honshu island and JR West’s rail network (Uno Station)

ETA - actually, to do a day cruise you might be best off starting early at Uno to get to Naoshima and then to Takamatsu to then get the ferry over to Kobe (or get to Naoshima the night before and stay in one of the hotels/lodgings with views over the sea)
