Keep in mind though that since 2007 fares had come down considerably. I've been flying one route within Europe consistently over more than a decade and around 2008 was the height of the fares...until now. This year seems to top everything looking at the fares for the upcoming months/summer. However, say, about 5 years ago, I've consistently paid about maybe 25 to 50% less compared to what I paid for the same KLM flights pre-2010.
