Mileage earning opportunity of the year? Tesco - also probably one of the longest threads as well.

Best value flight of the year (excluding awards)? EDI-Belfast on FlyBE - about £25 - quite like their coffee too - and the long Dash's are quite nice aircraft.

Special offer of the year (non-flight)? Local Thai restaurant gives me a free bottle of Irn Bru when I spend more than a tenner.

Biggest f***-up of the year? Getting stuck at LHR in the stroms and having to fight for a hotel room.

Biggest pain in the derriere mileage partner?
Marriot Hotels - stayed in one for almost two weeks and still fighting for miles.

Biggest let down of the year? The EDI EC lounge at about 6am - being utterly mobbed because evry single flight only has availability in J class.

Best flight of the year? LHR-SFO-LHR on Amex Companion 2for1 in FIRST. The Perrier Jouet wasn't as nice as the Krug the year before but it was a great trip with great service.

Worst flight of the year? Internal flight between Grenada and Union Island in a Britten Normal Islander going through thick rain clouds. A ride on the Pepsi Max Big One at Blackers Pleasure Beach would be a breeze in comparison.

Best travel discovery of the year (physical)? Palm Island in the Genadines. Shhhhhhhh!

Best travel discovery of the year (non-physical)? Mmmm?

Hotel of the year? Paddington Hilton - just for convennience and consistency.

Wierdest travel experience of the year? Southampton to London in First Class on a train following the end of our sales seminars - we got stuck in a cutting and ended up buying all the booze from the buffet car.

Worst travel experience of the year? The rubberband plane trying to outdo the PM Big One as above.

Regret of the year? No regrets (though it is our Christmas Party tonight so I may need to edit this later.
