While I do agree with you that the Andaz Scottsdale is not worth the money or points this time of the year, I do find its bungalow somewhat "charming" and its manicured ground & gorgeous pool area to be "peaceful"

But I was really being funny! If I had wanted to stay at a Hyatt in that stretch of N. Scottsdale Road, it would have been the HR Scottsdale Gainey Ranch (too bad that the The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch left Hyatt to join Hilton as I quite liked that property) or the various Hilton properties on N. Scottsdale Road. However, the reality is that I am a speaker at this conference held at the Renaissance Glendale and people will want to have dinner and drinks with me, so staying elsewhere is not really much of an option.
