Picked up early Monday morning. This time I had a midsize (Exec aisle) reservation.

Emerald had your choice of white or silver Corolla LE or Prius. I'm not kidding. It looked like a Toyota dealership. Several of the Corollas were 2023 models, and at least one of them had just been put into service in February based on the safety check sticker.

Executive had your choice of white or silver Camry LE. Similar to the Emerald Aisle, there was a mix of 2022 and 2023 models. I looked at one with a February 2025 safety check and it had only 37 miles on the odometer, so it must have been only on its first or second rental. There was also an older HR-V (not the redesigned model), a couple of 2022 RAV4 LEs, a Maxima, an Altima, a Passat, a Kia K5, a Camaro, and three Pacifica minivans (one of which was a plug-in hybrid).

Fortunately, they also had somewhat of a unicorn -- an Accord Hybrid in Sport trim. I've had an Accord Touring before, but this is the first time I've seen an Accord Hybrid in the fleet at HNL. It was a 2022 with about 9k miles. I averaged a little over 41 MPG over the course of my rental, according to the trip computer, but actual might have been slightly better since I only was able to add 1.1 gal of gas for 50 miles of driving.

Having driven a 400hp V8 Armada, a 260hp V6 Murano, and the hybrid-4 in the Accord over the course of a week, the hybrid in the Accord was my favorite. Shame on Honda, though, for skimping on the blind-spot monitor on the Sport trim (I read that they've removed it also from a few upper trims in other models due to parts shortages).

Aha! It's silver but not a Camry!
