I received a change on Saturday that my return flight from Japan has been changed from a direct flight to now a connection through SeaTac.
We originally had 3 seats booked in Comfort + but I can’t select seats on the new flights because they are all full.
Is it guaranteed that there will be seats for us on that flight? Do I just wait to be assigned seats at check in? If I’m downgraded to main cabin what are my steps for getting the difference in fare refunded?
(The only other flight option that day is connecting through MSP but that extends my travel day by over 10 hours which is a nope)
If you are confirmed you will get seats. Delta routinely goes months or even years without involuntarily denying boarding to anyone. Keep checking as things change and something might open up prior to check in.
