It's $1200 one-way? For a P fare? If you book via UA instead of AC, you'd get fare-based earnings. which seems like it might help you in this situation.
OK, thanks. The chart I was looking at was from TPG, I was presuming a copy of the one on United site, and it said 100%.

United was the same fare and I wanted to use my Amex points for the additional insider fare discount and the 35% off. Calculated out better than using Aeroplan miles. And United was not an option going that route.
