9 hours in a broken Q-Suite - not offered a bean

Hiya,

Just reporting my fairly lousy experience with QR customer care. On 20th January I flew QR960 Doha to Bali for a romantic break. Bought economy tickets than spent 50,000 Avios upgrading to 1E and 1F so the other half and I could experience the famous double bed Q-Suite layout for the first time.

Board, welcome drink, take off, settle back, and try to recline my seat and - nothing. None of the electrics work at all. Crew could manually adjust the seat but that was it. No reading light, no power socket. IFE was fine, but the seat was unfixable without a mechanic. Day flight but still pretty disappointing as we were hyped up about flying Q-Suite for the first time.

Reported to crew and on landing, and reported to customer care. After nearly six weeks of silence later I chase up on Twitter and get an email apologising for the 'extremely rare occurrence'. And - that's the lot. Not even a here's a token Avios for your trouble.

Is this completely normal for these guys in terms of customer care? Such a shame because living in Doha I fly them loads and the onboard experience is totally incredible but seems like their customer care absolutely sucks.
