Arrived DOH about 0430 this morning, local, off QR12 and was directed onto the main concourse
At NO point up to and including boarding of my connection to AUH about 4hrs later did I pass through any form of inspection of my handheld bags
This is 'normal', every day a random (probably intelligence led) selection of flights that are assessed to be coming from a safe origin and uncontroversial passengers are tipped out onto the main concourse avoiding transit security. It's not new, but it really is random. If QR12 gets the treatment today, there's no guarantee it will get it any other day this week.
