Also for reference, Emerald ( BA Gold ) on AA is 3 x 70lbs ( 32 kgs ) despite the cabin the passenger is traveling on.

100% this, and they are generally quite strict in implementing it, like even if you check in just one bag at 25kg instead of 2 x 23kg they will ask you to remove the 2kg or check in another luggage with the extra weight..
