Agents at DPS were great and handled the file accordingly. The bag was delivered 24 hours later and the delivery agent called me on whatsapp. But for those 24 hours I had no t shirt, no swimsuit, no sunscreen, no sandals, no hat. Thus this claim.
This was an award ticket with fees paid for with a crappy amex platinum that does not extend insurance for non-amex-point redemptions.
Wow, that is pretty bad that AMEX Platinum does not cover this for non-AMEX award redemptions.
Strange the DPS agent did not provide any additional instructions.
Years ago, I flew BA to SIN when this happened. The airport agent gave me S$200 on the spot which was more than enough. Some carriers also will give you a toiletry kit.
