i have heard from previous travelers that you need to show flight tickets (paper) before entering departure hall . is that still the practice for all terminals in DEL?

i have short transfer time, so if tight in time, was planning to dump bags at T2 check in, then look for ATM to withdraw money. I know T3 arrival hall has many ATMs, but how is the ATM situation in T2 (departure / arrival hall)? if T2 is not optimal, then i will need to run back to T3 arrival which i believe is 5 minutes walk away...
