During the President's Day weekend, I spent four nights (from Saturday to Wednesday) at the Marriott Copley Place, where I had booked a King Room as an Ambassador member. However, the day before my stay, I received a room upgrade notification for a larger King Room. As we were traveling with children, I messaged the hotel staff via the app, politely requesting an available suite for an upgrade. A few hours later, I received a response indicating that they were able to upgrade my booking to a King One Bedroom Suite.

Initially, I had booked the room for approximately $203 per night, but I found a lower rate of $188 on Kayak. Through the Best Rate Guarantee match, I was able to successfully adjust my rate to $141 per night. However, I must note that parking at the hotel is quite expensive, with a valet service costing $60 per night. Instead, I suggest using SpotHero, where you can find plenty of options ranging from $25 to $30 within a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel and rooms have been refurbished, which made our stay very pleasant. The Wifi speeds were great, ranging from 15 to 25 mbps, and the hotel has a fantastic pool on the 5th floor, which was the main reason we chose this hotel for our stay (so our daughter could swim).

Our room was fantastic, and it had a sofa bed for the children, Netflix enabled TVs , a small fridge, a shower with excellent water pressure, and nice ThisWorks products in the bathroom. Additionally, we enjoyed the lounge breakfast, which included oatmeal, cold cuts, croissants and muffins, eggs, crispy bacon, and two excellent coffee machines. However, due to Boston laws, all alcohol comes at an additional charge.

The hotel is attached to two malls with a plethora of dining and coffee options, including ShakeShack, BlueBottle, California Pizza Kitchen, Sweetgreens, Ben & Jerry's, and Dunkin' Donuts. You can access these restaurants without stepping outside, thanks to a covered bridge on level 2.

Unfortunately, the hotel has an annoying $25 destination fee that converts into a daily F&B credit. The credit can only be used at the in-house restaurant YardHouse or for alcoholic drinks in the lounge. Disappointingly, you cannot use the credit at Starbucks on the 2nd floor. Nonetheless, you can still take advantage of the credit by purchasing growlers to go from YardHouse to bring back to your room.

Upon check-in, we were informed that the lounge was closed and offered 1000 points. However, I explained that this did not cover breakfast and requested a credit to use at YardHouse. The employee offered $25 and eventually increased the credit to $50, which was a nice gesture.

The hotel was bustling during our stay, as there was a Model UN conference and plenty of people in town for the holiday. Overall, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
