There's a big difference between liking critical posts (at a cost of $0), and continuing to spend money with a program that brings one such dissatisfaction and then endless complaining about one's experiences.

I long was aware of Marriott's mediocrity, and bailed on them quickly in 2019 once I saw how they started to destroy all that was good w/Starwood (only worse since then), and went to the best program in hotel loyalty, Hyatt. Not always perfect but damn good, and in many ways better than legacy Starwood. Have to call in or message to use a TSU & can't see it reflected on points stays? Boo frickin' hoo - it works and it's an amazing unparalleled benefit.

I saw similar destruction of brand value with United during the $misek regime, and also pulled away a lot of spend the next few years until it showed signs of life again with Oscar. I rooted for United then to bottom out (as I am with Marriott now), with the hope of a more customer-focused leadership team coming in and making my lifetime status in each program worth a bit more.

You seem to have the unicorn experience of "Marriott much better than Hyatt", which is about as rare as it comes these days - enjoy the $23K (pre-tax) spend over there to keep it going.
