Thanks. You're right - BA is as an option, which I hadn't noticed. However, the rebooking of the cash fare wasn't the issue as there are few re-route options (CDG/AMS).

The problem is that my travel companion is booked into award inventory on VS (using a companion voucher) and they are claiming that they can't move the award booking onto a partner airlines. Do you think that they might be able to if I call again?
