Yes it’s possible. And tbh I am struggling to understand why they claim they couldn’t. If you look on the VS site and try pricing a MAN-JFK one of the options offered is on BA to LHR before connecting to a VS flight. I wonder if this is one to call up again.
Thanks. You're right - BA is as an option, which I hadn't noticed. However, the rebooking of the cash fare wasn't the issue as there are few re-route options (CDG/AMS).
The problem is that my travel companion is booked into award inventory on VS (using a companion voucher) and they are claiming that they can't move the award booking onto a partner airlines. Do you think that they might be able to if I call again?
