AS’ upgrade processor is broken. This is a known issue. Literally the same exact thing just happened to me today with a companion. I’m an 1MM on UA, 100K on AS, etc and when I complained the customer service agent insisted that I was wrong, wouldn’t verify anything, was utterly useless, and insisted that AS did everything right. I’m livid - it was the most disrespectful call of my life. I’m absolutely done with AS (I have been for a while, this is the nail in the coffin for me).
Exactly. And some reservation supervisor also warned me that in the future I should not call them about this since upgrade system is right.
She also said she checked who got upgraded on my HNL-SFO flight, 3 people on the upgrade list behind me who got upgraded were all 100K w/ high fare class than me (I’m N).
Like others said, if the upgrade doesn’t happen before T-24, anything could happen. Things will be more dirty if travel with a companion.
