Rather than throw up a red flag, I think I would just show up for my stay and leave without checking out when I am ready to leave. I would check out via the app on day 5. You sacrifice one nights worth of points but it appears that this might be the least costly option. The fact that I am in the middle of a stay at a hotel does not mean I am required to stay in the hotel room.
