If short-haul with a bag that has to go in the overheads, either being too big to fit under the seat in front and/or Row 1 CE / Exit Row Y, then I'm muscling at the front brandishing Group 1.
All other times, including flying First Class - I'll happily be the last to board.
I agree this is pretty much my strategy, but with F on the 773 I like to be on early as there is no space over the middle seats and the side bins have to accommodate two passengers worth of bags.
