Cancellation/changing flight date issues
Apologies if this is all basic stuff. I haven't flown BA regularly for a while, so am unfamiliar with how things work.
I have flights booked next month. Due to a relative undergoing surgery, I can't fly those days.
Ideally, I would like to cancel and book again at my leisure. However, I am unclear if I do canc whether I get a voucher for future travel or i have just lost the money. I'm not looking for a refund, as I intend to fly soon.
Alternatively, I could just ask to move the dates. That seems an impossible task, at it appears to require speaking to BA. The phone line constantly says they are too busy and to go away. Twitter says someone will respond but they never do.
I'd be grateful for any suggestions. Thank you.
