Frankly if you’re going to make exit row an actual upgrade I have to fight everyone for as a Gold or MVP (I’m halfway to Million Miler but I have never hit 75K) instead of something I know I can get at time of booking, I have yet another reason to ditch status altogether and not even bother with buying Main fares over Saver. I mean, if I can just buy (exit row or PC aisle or window) and Saver together, why should I fight 30 75Ks or 100Ks for upgrades on a route if my lotto prize is “stay in main or maybe get a PC middle seat”?
PS: Delta allows exit row at booking as an elite (Comfort+ is an upgrade).

I don't think this is a very well priced upgrade and personally wouldn't worry that much about somebody buying it. In fact if the exit row is monetized even w/i 24hours (segmented out vs elite section that is avail to all w/i 24hrs) I wonder if it was actually keep the exit row clearer for elite members. Who for example would pay that upgrade price to sit in the middle seat?
