Just like many other carriers, AS should market Exit-Row as Premium Seats and priced accordingly. (I don't like different prices however) I do support AS monetizing Exit-row as previously, even saver- seats sometimes had free access to Exit Row within 24 hours. ...and if non-elites don't like that policy,you can always approach gate agent to override this.

That would be an additional devaluation for MVPs and Golds since they CAN select exit row at booking on ANY fare, but have to waitlist for Premium on cheap fares.
Frankly if you’re going to make exit row an actual upgrade I have to fight everyone for as a Gold or MVP (I’m halfway to Million Miler but I have never hit 75K) instead of something I know I can get at time of booking, I have yet another reason to ditch status altogether and not even bother with buying Main fares over Saver. I mean, if I can just buy (exit row or PC aisle or window) and Saver together, why should I fight 30 75Ks or 100Ks for upgrades on a route if my lotto prize is “stay in main or maybe get a PC middle seat”?
PS: Delta allows exit row at booking as an elite (Comfort+ is an upgrade).
