When I faxed everything in, they sent me a replacement on card 1 (good card) when I thought it was bad card. I ended up calling 1866 number on KR receipt. KR provided card ID and full number on back of card from bad card (last 4 on the original receipt). I called USB, provided the info. Their records show the card was activated on a different date and different state. Investigation has commenced. Been told it could take up to 90 days will receive resolution letter in mail.
The exact same thing happened to me with Green Dot cards bought in Walmart. The last four numbers on the receipt doesn't match with last 4 on credit cards. GD is reviewing it without resolution of 2-3 weeks now. Was getting deprecated error without any history when you check balance online. I have filed complain with CFPB, state attorney, BBB, will file with FTB. can this be a class action lawsuit? if someone finds there is faulty gift card making process and provider is not ownings the issue?
