My booking is finally complete.
LHR-JFK using a 241 in CW and GUF2 into F, returning SFO-LHR in WTP GUF2 into CW.
Had the email this morning to contact BA and pay the outstanding recalculated taxes which I have.
Interestingly, I asked the BA call handler if I would get a breakdown of the new figure to pay. It is slightly less than I was expecting (I worked out some 'back of the envelope calculations based on test bookings). The answer was no, just the figure I have paid.
I found this strange, as BA ticketing department can effectively just name any price and there is no way of checking what they are basing it on!
Also, been charged £35pp for "changing my booking" when adding the GUF2 to the booking - the GUF2 was missing when I originally booked the reward flights and I had to spend a few days chasing it up.
But she told me to pay it to ensure the booking is ticketed, then raise a complaint with BAEC to get it refunded when it has been ticketed.
