Two questions as these are two first for me.

​​​​​​1. I have a flight from YVR-SIN (SQ, J) with a 4 hour layover and SIN-BKK (TG, Y) booked on seperate tickets. Since both are *A partners, is there any chance of having the agent in YVR being able to check bags through all the way to the final destination in BKK?

2. If I'm only coming inbound on J into SIN and going outbound in Y, would I be able to access the Krisflyer lounge? I'm already thinking no but wanted to check.
