It's good to know about no sales tax on a point purchase as well. We use Hyvee when we have grocery points off gas and Kwik trip near our inlaws is about 40 cents per gallon cheaper than even Costco gas near us.......why I have no ide as it's about 50 miles away in the same state ( MN) and farther from the refineries plus it has very little competition vs dozens of station near us who ODDLY have all had the same exact price for years now........when one changes they all follow..........my guess is we have some price fixing going on near us but my rant is over, lol
One of the biggest benefits of diamond for me is no resort fees and the $100 restaurant credit. Wish they still had the diamond lounges in Vegas, that was another nice diamond perk.
Costco gas has been working for years as well as Kwik Trip and Hyvee grocery store, we use Hyvee gas when we have points off for grrocery spend
We also found purchasing Hyvee gift card in the gas station ring up as gas so we get 8X and use those gift cards to buy groceries.
With the earnings and Wyndham allowing 100K transfer to CET last year and 60K this year we except to leave vegas in May and November 2023 with very small bills for dining as we will have about $3K in Reward credits.
The Wyndham/CET Point transfer and easy 8x earnings are why I would keep this card even if it didn't provide Diamond but yes the waived resort fees and $100 dinner each are nice
