The 8X gas points ( you can use the card at Costco so lower prices) is one of if not the best gas deals going.

Also 5X on utilities. I would get/keep this card even if it didn't give Diamond.

We transfer most of our Wyndham points to CET but used 27K a night for the Wyndham Clearwater beach ( timeshare side ) this April, price is about $700/night

Just a heads up, only CET owned restaurants are 100RC per $1.................most are $200 RC/$1 so if paying in points a CET owned place like Ruth's Chris can be cheaper than non CET owned like Mon Abi Gabi.

We use our points ( rooms are comped) at CET owned rest/bars and the pool bar. I

If you pay in points at the time of sale ( don't charge to room) there is no sales tax.
Good to know about Costco gas. Usually if gas is a bonus category buying gas at Costco doesn't count for the bonus category. Wonder if it would buying gas at Kroger, since that's where I usually get my gas and when chase has gas stations as a bonus quarterly category it doesn't qualify.

It's good to know about no sales tax on a point purchase as well.

One of the biggest benefits of diamond for me is no resort fees and the $100 restaurant credit. Wish they still had the diamond lounges in Vegas, that was another nice diamond perk.
