I tried the same $1k SMVGC at wally around 20 minutes later for a $483 MO ($484 plus a fee), and got Not Authorized, so I left. I have another unused $1k SMVGC that I'm going to try tomorrow for $250 to see if it works. Will report back
FWIW I'm located in the mid South. Never had a problem liquidating at kroggy or wally until this past week
Since when have Simon $1Ks worked at Kroger, let alone WM? I don't have an actual Kroger near me, but a local branch owned by their corporate parent has blocked those cards for a few years. And WM has been dead, as far as I know, for much longer.
