DP: At about 4:30pm CT today, I was at kroggy and told the MC cashier I needed two MOs for a little less than $500 each. The cashier ran it as one transaction instead of two, so I figured I may be able to find something out. I was able to liquidate an Incomm $500 GC with no issues for the first part, and requested $485 ($486 w/ fee) for the second part, using a $1k SMVGC. The Meta card got kicked back as Not Authorized, so I had the cashier void the transaction, and I left with my single MO around 4:48pm
I tried the same $1k SMVGC at wally around 20 minutes later for a $483 MO ($484 plus a fee), and got Not Authorized, so I left. I have another unused $1k SMVGC that I'm going to try tomorrow for $250 to see if it works. Will report back
FWIW I'm located in the mid South. Never had a problem liquidating at kroggy or wally until this past week
