Decades ago we stayed at the Rasa Sayang Hotel in Penang which is now the Shangri-la. At that time there were few, if any other hotels on that exquisite beach. The water was calm and beautiful and the beach was reminiscent of the Mauna Kea's beach. To say it was an unforgettable and magic experience would be an understatement.
