We got upgraded a day early to a really nice ocean view room now. . . . . . . At the same time, I wish they would keep track of Globalists ahead of their arrival. I wonder at times, maybe they give the upgrades away earlier to others and then nothing is left because someone else checked in a day before?
This hotel has a reputation for doing exactly that sort of thing. Last time it didn't happen for us was about 20 years ago, when some corporate group I can't remember had booked up most of the hotel.
How many times have you stayed before? They
tend, and in the past have stated as much, to prioritize long-time repeat guests at their hotel over Hyatt status. But I suppose in a sold-out situation guests buying out the category trumps comps.
