At my OD, they have to call in my CC for approval, just like in the bad old days before the internet where cashiers had to pick up the phone and call a special number to get the credit card approved. And this is for either $400 or $600.
You need to call their Corporate's/customer service line and explain this to them. Corporate for both Staples and OD fixes issues within a few days for ridiculous individual store protocol. You can spend 10 minutes to fix a problem permanently at your store.
