OP, I think you perhaps missed some social cues, and hope you take it as constructive feedback.

Firstly, if I were accused of having inappropriate behaviors involving a minor, I would nip it in the bud. You are a CK, I would have asked for a ride to the D terminal for a tight connection, while discussing the issues so everything is addressed before the next flight. To brush it off, I believe, only caused more suspicion and didn’t help your case. If you didn’t think the allegations were urgent at that time, it’s not a good thing.

Secondly, I really hope you re-read your own comments on three tries to get the UM to be moved up front. I think the social norm would have been to move on with life after the first try.

Lastly, our current society is transactional. Quid pro quo. Look it through that lens.
