At long last managed to get approved for a Chase Aeroplan card (as a Canadian). Previously applied for the Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase Aeroplan when it was launched but rejected both times despite having 4+ years US credit history and an ITIN. Opened a Chase bank account 3 months ago and it seems to have made a difference! Have received 25K status already from every day spending plus last years promotion to up this to 35K. Hoping to get to 50K status with this new card if I meet the $50K spend requirement!
