Miles and points credit for partially completed journey
In the past, if you bought an LHR-x/HKG-SYD-x/HKG-LHR ticket and traveled only the first 3 sectors you would be credited for those three sectors, and obviously not for the forfeited last sector.

However, it now appears "LHR-x/HKG-SYD" is considered one single leg in terms of points and miles award, and SYD-x/HKG-LHR another.

Does anyone know whether I would get any miles/points for the SYD-HKG (3rd sector in old speak) if I were to drop the last sector?
