After reading the last few comments from Globalist concerned about recognition and getting parking lot view. wondering whether we should stick with crowds of Maui knowing what to expect esp since last time I was stuck in oceanfront room (large conf so couldn’t upgrade to suite) w Covid. Can’t beat the O’Hara spirit of club staff. Who made sure every night my GF/corn allergic daughter had a special plate waiting for her….
Is GH Kaui. “All that”?
Hopefully you noticed that the GHK upgraded both of us in the end. I don't think the HR Maui is as good as the GHK - neither the resort nor the club. And, the staff in the GHk club is excellent. There are some new faces but there are 3 ladies that have been there a long time, e.g. 33yrs for Samantha. They remember names and faces from prior and current guests. After they ran out of chocolate chip cookies during dessert Sunday night and I asked if they had anymore, Anna said they would definitely have them during afternoon snack the following day. When she didn't see me that afternoon, she proactively had a stack of them saved for me the next night, complete with a sticky with my name on it. She asked me to hold on for a moment while she grabbed the stack from the back...all just because I asked if they had anymore the night before. I know that doesn't compare to your daughter's allergy, but I've noticed them personally connect with guests many times during my stays.
